Cash Hunt holds the game's absolute maximum multiplier: 25,000× (500× base + 50× Top Slot), responsible for the all-time record of C$4.1 million. Cash Hunt is the only bonus where you make an active decision that determines your own result. In Coin Flip every player wins the same value, and in Pachinko physics decides for everyone — but in Cash Hunt each player aims at a different target and can land a completely different multiplier from the rest. If 1,000 players are connected, there are 1,000 choices and 1,000 potentially different outcomes. Combined with the 25,000× ceiling — the highest in the game show — this makes Cash Hunt the bonus with the greatest individual payout potential.

How Cash Hunt Works — The 4 Phases

Cash Hunt Crazy Time — the 4 phases of the bonus

Phase 1 — Multipliers revealed. When the wheel lands on Cash Hunt, a digital wall appears showing 108 multipliers arranged in a 12×9 grid. Values range from 5× to 500× and are displayed briefly so you can take in the general distribution. The assignment is fully random via RNG — every round generates a completely new layout, independent of every previous one.

Phase 2 — Symbols cover. Each of the 108 multipliers is hidden behind one of 9 decorative symbols (gift, rabbit, card, chicken, star, cactus, castle, cupcake, bullseye). The symbol covering each multiplier is randomly assigned and has no connection to the value hidden behind it — a 500× can sit behind any symbol.

Phase 3 — Full shuffle. The 108 symbols shuffle across the screen, redistributing into new random positions. Once the shuffle is complete, you no longer know which multiplier is behind any symbol or where the 500× you spotted a second ago ended up. From this point on, it's pure chance.

Phase 4 — Shoot (10 seconds). A 10-second countdown begins. Move your crosshair with your mouse (desktop) or finger (mobile) and shoot your target with a click or tap. Every player chooses independently. If you don't shoot in time, the system selects a target automatically — you don't want the RNG deciding for you when a 500× could be on the board.

Multiplier Distribution — What's Behind the Symbols

More than half of the 108 targets contain modest multipliers. Only about 3% hide the values that, paired with a 50× Top Slot, produce five-figure payouts. The average per round is ~25×, placing Cash Hunt between Coin Flip (~15×) and Crazy Time Bonus (~50×) in terms of average payout.

Multiplier RangeTargets (~)% of GridYour Probability
5×–10×~6056%1 in 1.8
15×–50×~3532%1 in 3.1
75×–200×~109%1 in 10.8
300×–500×~33%1 in 36

The distribution resets completely on every Cash Hunt activation. The multipliers from the previous round have zero influence on the next — every grid is a full RNG reset. There are no "hot positions" that carry over between rounds, no "favourable zones" where high prizes cluster. The probability of hitting a 100×+ target is roughly 6%, and the chance of finding the 500× is ~1% (1 in 108). With a 50× Top Slot, that 500× becomes 25,000×.

Myths Debunked — The Symbol Does NOT Matter

"Certain symbols pay more." False. The 9 symbols (gift, rabbit, card, chicken, star, cactus, castle, cupcake, bullseye) are purely decorative. A 500× multiplier can sit behind any symbol — the RNG assigns multipliers and symbols completely independently. The symbol carries no information about the prize hidden behind it. Aiming at the "golden gift" gives you no better odds than aiming at the "cactus."

"The centre of the grid pays better." False. All 108 positions have exactly the same probability of holding any given multiplier after the shuffle. Shooting at the centre, corners, or edges produces statistically identical results over time. There are no hot spots or dead zones in the grid — the shuffle redistributes everything randomly each round.

"Patterns from previous rounds work." False. The distribution is completely regenerated on every Cash Hunt round. If the 500× was in the top-right corner last round, it can be in any of the 108 positions the next time. Cash Hunt is pure chance dressed as interactivity — and that's fine. The excitement of aiming and shooting is genuine even if the outcome is random. What matters is being in the round when the Top Slot aligns.

The World Record — 25,000× and How It Happened

On December 11, 2022, a Cash Hunt round produced the largest multiplier in Crazy Time history: 25,000×. It's the absolute maximum the game show can pay — and it happened exactly as the math allows: a base multiplier of 500× inside the 108-target grid combined with a 50× Top Slot.

For this to occur, four simultaneous events needed to align: the wheel landing on Cash Hunt (3.70%), the Top Slot showing Cash Hunt with a 50× multiplier (~0.5%), one of the 108 targets containing 500× (~1%), and a player shooting exactly that target (0.93% if only one such target exists). The combined probability: ~0.00017% — equivalent to 1 in 588,235 spins. To see all historical records for the game show, check the dedicated page.

In that round, 5,512 players had bet on Cash Hunt. The total payout was C$4.1 million distributed across all of them — each player received a different prize based on their chosen target. Those who hit the 500× target with the active Top Slot took home the absolute maximum. Cash Hunt is the only Crazy Time bonus that has reached its theoretical ceiling in a real session.

Cash Hunt appears roughly every 27 spins on average (2 of 54 segments). To take part, bet on Cash Hunt BEFORE the host spins the wheel.
